Miranda is a Pittsburgh based sculptor, who received her BFA in performative sculpture from Carnegie Mellon University.  Her work focuses on labor as a tool for both attracting or diverting attention; ranging from the grand spectacle, to the invisible labor of domestic craft. Working in multi-media sculpture, textiles, puppetry and object-making, Miranda uses mimicry, high fidelity craft, and MacGyvering as tools to both seduce with and hide the hand. Her work often balances the sentimental and bureaucratic, as well as the humorous and stoic.
